Welcome to Pelican Island Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution(DAR), organized in 2019. Our two preservation efforts include historical preservation by cleaning headstones in our area’s cemeteries in conjunction with Children of the American Revolution, and environmental preservation as we begin a partnership with our namesake, Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge.
Female military heroes, U.S. Lighthouses, Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge (our namesake) and American Sign Language were some of guest speakers’ topics during our organizational year.
